If i move my Yahoo domain name somewhere else will I still have to pay Yahoos outrageous new renewal fee?
My question is, If i move my Yahoo domain name somewhere else will I still have to pay Yahoos outrageous new renewal fee?
Yahoo is losing my business fast after blindsiding me with a “new” renewal charge of $ 34.99 up from $ 9.99 for each domain name every year. I wasn’t even contacted about this change. Great way to loose a loyal customer of over ten years! Thanks for any answers to my question.

I just discovered this tonight. I’m really hoping that it’s a fluke with the yahoo pages that it is misstating the cost. If not, they just lost two customers because I was helping set up a new page tonight for a friend, and I have my website through here as well. There’s NO WAY I’ll be paying that kind of money though.
It’s only my opinion, correct me if I’m wrong!

Nope, you won’t have to pay Yahoo’s renewal fee if you transfer your domain to a new registrar. However, you may need to pay the new registrar the transfer fee.
You can try Moniker.com Transfer ( http://affiliates.moniker.com/pub/Affiliates?affiliate_id=2253&landingpage=transfer ).
